Picture books:

Lindsey is open to authors and author/illustrators. She will look at rhyme only if you absolutely know how to do it (because she does not and she cannot help you in that area).

Humor: Lindsey loves humor with lots of hooks and big heart. She also loves dark humor so don’t be afraid to send those! Some of her favorite titles include Poopsie Gets Lost, That’s My Sweater, Little Boo, The Baby Who Stayed Awake Forever, Bob the Vampire Snail, and Little Monster Says Goodnight. Her favorite authors are Tammi Sauer, Jory John, Tara Lazar, Maddie Frost, and Beth Ferry.

Lyrical: Lindsey loves lyrical stories that give her goosebumps or makes her want to cry. Send her stories that leave her with questions or inspire her to be a better person.

Non-fiction: Lindsey is going to be more selective in this genre but would love to see what you have. Her favorite non-fiction titles include Listen: How Evelyn Glennie, A Deaf Girl, Changed Percussion; Perkins Perfect Purple: How A Boy Created Color with Chemistry; The Fabulous Fannie Farmer: Kitchen Scientist and America’s Cook; and Claude, the True Story of a White Alligator.

A few more picture books Lindsey absolutely loves: The Old Man Eating Alone, I Eat Poop. A Dung Beetle Story, Badger’s Perfect Garden, Snakes Big Mistake, My Tiny Pet, Let’s Dance!, The Friend Ship, The Rooster Who Would Not Be Quiet, Flooded, Willow Takes on the Weather, and A Rakhi for Rakesh: A Story of Brotherly and Sisterly Love.

Middle Grade:

Lindsey is wide open here. Send me your contemporary, fantasy, spooky, witchy, mystery…anything really. She LOVES Olivetti, Once for Yes, From the Desk of Zoe Washington, The Other Half of Happy, A Comb of Wishes, Grave Mistakes, Once Upon a Family, The Revenge of Magic and anything by Lynda Mullaly Hunt.

Young Adult:

Lindsey is looking for fresh topics with high stakes and a strong voice. Her absolute favorite YA read was the Empyrean series. Send her romcom, contemporary romance, horror, mystery, paranormal, historical, and fantasy.

New Adult: Lindsey is open here but would love to see some humor or romance (or both!) with college students or young adults just starting out in life.
